Ann L. Koch, Senior Director of Foundation Relations

Ann Koch joined the Office of Foundation Relations in 2005, after serving as the Director of Development for the Sheridan Libraries for 9 years. In 2017, she was appointed Senior Director of Foundation Relations where she has been instrumental in helping to build relationships with the university’s leading foundation donors and has worked closely with university leadership to secure foundation support for the institution’s top priorities. Prior to her arrival at Johns Hopkins, she held development positions at the University of Chicago and the Newberry Library (Chicago). Ann graduated from the College of William and Mary with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies. She also holds a Master of Arts in Humanities from the University of Chicago.

Liaison to: University Leadership, Krieger School of Arts and Sciences (humanities disciplines), SNF Agora Institute, School of Advanced International Studies, Peabody Institute, and Sheridan Libraries & University Museums


Andrew Isaac, Director of Foundation Relations, Medicine

Andrew Isaac is the Director of Foundation Relations for Medicine, where he is responsible for leading the engagement of private foundations in support of faculty and staff at the School of Medicine. Andrew joined the Foundation Relations office in 2015 as an Associate Director and supported an array of divisions including the schools of Education and Public Health before transitioning to his current role in 2017. Before coming to Johns Hopkins, Andrew previously led corporate and foundation development for Teach for America’s Memphis region and worked in a variety of government affairs positions at the state and federal levels. He holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Johns Hopkins University (Class of 2007) and a Master of Public Policy from American University.

Laura Runyan, Senior Associate Director of Foundation Relations

Laura Runyan joined the Office of Foundation Relations as a Senior Associate Director in August 2021. Laura is responsible for a portfolio of foundations relevant to her work with faculty and administrative partners in public health, engineering, and the natural sciences. Prior to joining the Foundation Relations team, Laura led the grants office at Gettysburg College working with faculty and staff across the institution for eight years. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Susquehanna University.

Liaison to: Whiting School of Engineering, Krieger School of Arts and Sciences (science disciplines), Bloomberg School of Public Health, Berman Institute of Bioethics, and International Programs


Amy Burdette, Associate Director of Foundation Relations

Amy Burdette has been Assistant Director for the Office of Foundation Relations at since January 2018. She came to the University as the Senior Development Coordinator for Foundation Relations in April 2015. In her current role, Amy provides stewardship, outreach, research, and other services to the Foundation Relations team and partners. She also manages the preparation of annual endowment, scholarship, and programmatic reports to foundation donors, and is responsible for drafting presidential acknowledgments and other correspondence from university leadership. Amy serves as liaison for key foundations providing scholarship funds, such as the Hodson Trust and ARCS Foundation, overseeing a yearly schedule of events, communications, and reporting activities and tracking student progress and accomplishments. Amy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL.

Liaison to: Johns Hopkins Medicine partner hospitals (All Children’s, Sibley Memorial, Suburban, and Howard County General) and select departments, School of Nursing, School of Education, Carey Business School, Center for Talented Youth, and HEAT Corps


Lauren Ryan, Assistant Director of Foundation Relations

Lauren Ryan is the Assistant Director for the Office of Foundation Relations, and joined the team in June of 2018. In her role, Lauren is responsible for managing the preparation of various annual stewardship reports to foundation donors including endowment, scholarship, and programmatic reports, and is responsible for drafting presidential acknowledgments and other correspondence from university leadership. She provides database, gift processing, and reporting support to the Foundation Relations team and other divisional partners; manages the FR website, social media account, and newsletter. She is also the main point of contact for creating and updating foundation background and briefing reports for university leadership and divisions across campus, and provides support to faculty and staff for the limited submission application portal, InfoReady. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Lauren was the coordinator of player development for the West Virginia University Women’s basketball team. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management, and Master of Science degree in Education and Sport Sciences at West Virginia University.

Lyn Post, Administrative Coordinator of Foundation Relations

Lyn Post joined the Office of Foundation Relations team as an Administrative Coordinator in June 2015. Before coming to Johns Hopkins Lyn worked at T. Rowe Price for 13 years in several capacities including, as a Project Manager overseeing the implementation of several application systems in support of Marketing, as a Business Analyst preparing the requirements definition and system documentation for IT application development projects, and as the data analyst for large scale direct marketing mail campaigns. Prior to that, Lyn worked as a management consultant for five years with Price Waterhouse Cooper in New Orleans then Baltimore. Lyn graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts, International Relations, and earned an MBA from the Simmons College School of Management, Boston, MA.

Administrative support for Foundation Relations team


Drew Hauber, Senior Development Coordinator

Drew Hauber joined the Office of Foundation Relations team as Senior Development Coordinator in April 2023. In his role, Drew provides support services, including JHAS management, gift/pledge and acknowledgment processing, data reporting, research, and meeting/event coordination. He also assists with stewardship, communications, and other administrative functions. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Drew worked with Chapter One as a literacy tutor in Baltimore City Public Schools. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Media Studies from Butler University.
