Ann L. Koch, Executive Director of Foundation Relations
Ann Koch joined the Office of Foundation Relations in 2005, after serving as the Director of Development for the Sheridan Libraries for 9 years. In 2017, she was appointed Senior Director of Foundation Relations where she has been instrumental in helping to build relationships with the university’s leading foundation donors and has worked closely with university leadership to secure foundation support for the institution’s top priorities. Prior to her arrival at Johns Hopkins, she held development positions at the University of Chicago and the Newberry Library (Chicago). Ann graduated from the College of William and Mary with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies. She also holds a Master of Arts in Humanities from the University of Chicago.

Laura Runyan, Director of Foundation Relations
Laura Runyan joined the Office of Foundation Relations as a Senior Associate Director in August 2021. Laura is responsible for a portfolio of foundations relevant to her work with faculty and administrative partners in Johns Hopkins Medicine and Bloomberg School of Public Health. Prior to joining the Foundation Relations team, Laura led the grants office at Gettysburg College working with faculty and staff across the institution for eight years. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Susquehanna University.

Kevin Kostic, Director of Foundation Relations
Kevin Kostic joined the Office of Foundation Relations in October 2024 as Director of Foundation Relations. In partnership with colleagues across Johns Hopkins University, Kevin deepens the university’s connections with foundation donors and advances game-changing grant opportunities. Prior to joining the Foundation Relations team, Kevin worked for over 20 years at a global humanitarian agency, CRS, with roles including Director of Family Foundations & Philanthropy, Director of Donor Relations, and Strategy & Organizational Development Advisor. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from James Madison University and a Master of Science in Religious Education from Fordham University.

Amy Burdette, Senior Associate Director of Foundation Relations
Amy Burdette has been Senior Associate Director for the Office of Foundation Relations since September 2024. She came to the University as the Senior Development Coordinator for Foundation Relations in April 2015. In her current role, Amy provides stewardship, outreach, research, and other services to the Foundation Relations team and partners. She also manages the preparation of annual endowment, scholarship, and programmatic reports to foundation donors, and is responsible for drafting presidential acknowledgments and other correspondence from university leadership. Amy serves as liaison for key foundations providing scholarship funds, such as the Hodson Trust and ARCS Foundation, overseeing a yearly schedule of events, communications, and reporting activities and tracking student progress and accomplishments. Amy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL.

Lauren Ryan, Associate Director of Innovation Initiatives and Corporate Relations | Foundation Relations
Lauren Ryan is the Associate Director for Innovation Initiatives and Corporate Relations at Johns Hopkins University, where she plays a key role in expanding corporate-funded research and programs across all divisions of the university and medicine. In her role, Lauren focuses on fostering corporate partnerships, increasing corporate investments, and supporting faculty in creating competitive research proposals. Lauren also has a dual report with the Office of Foundation Relations on corporate foundation opportunities and continues to manage and disseminate all corporate and foundation limited submission competitions. Lauren earned her Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and her Master of Science in Education and Sport Sciences from West Virginia University.

Lyn Post, Administrative Coordinator of Foundation Relations
Lyn Post joined the Office of Foundation Relations team as an Administrative Coordinator in June 2015. Before coming to Johns Hopkins Lyn worked at T. Rowe Price for 13 years in several capacities including, as a Project Manager overseeing the implementation of several application systems in support of Marketing, as a Business Analyst preparing the requirements definition and system documentation for IT application development projects, and as the data analyst for large scale direct marketing mail campaigns. Prior to that, Lyn worked as a management consultant for five years with Price Waterhouse Cooper in New Orleans then Baltimore. Lyn graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts, International Relations, and earned an MBA from the Simmons College School of Management, Boston, MA.

Drew Hauber, Senior Development Coordinator
Drew Hauber joined the Office of Foundation Relations team as Senior Development Coordinator in April 2023. In his role, Drew provides support services, including JHAS management, gift/pledge and acknowledgment processing, data reporting, research, and meeting/event coordination. He also assists with stewardship, communications, and other administrative functions. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Drew worked with Chapter One as a literacy tutor in Baltimore City Public Schools. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Media Studies from Butler University.
