BDP Central Administration Team

The Bloomberg Distinguished Professorships (BDP) Central Administration Team, or BCAT, is managed within the BDP office and comprised of Coordinators and Grants and Contracts Analysts (GCAs). To alleviate the administrative burden on faculty, each BDP cluster is assigned a Coordinator and GCA to provide dedicated, comprehensive support for the cluster members. Frequently Asked Questions

What is BCAT?
The Bloomberg Distinguished Professorships Central Administration Team was created to be a comprehensive service center for any BDP-related faculty member.

What does pre- and post-award proposal and grant management support entail?
Pre-award support includes coordinating with the PI to gather all documents for the application, budget and budget justification creation and drafting of commonly used proposal sections. You would also have access to our graphics and science writing support staff- all free of charge. Post-award support includes tracking and projecting expenses on the awards, progress report processing, subaward management, account reconciliation, etc. If there is a specific need that is not addressed, please ask and we can look into making it available to you.
