Johns Hopkins University is hiring 88 faculty members to address today’s greatest challenges

Johns Hopkins University is working to address the world’s greatest challenges through the Bloomberg Distinguished Professorships Program. The program is hiring 88 faculty members (50 distinguished professors and 38 junior faculty) in 9 interdisciplinary research clusters including racial equity, artificial intelligence, climate change and health, the business of health, pandemic prevention, sustainable energy, and brain resilience.

The BDP program, founded in 2013 and expanded in 2021, aims to build bridges across Johns Hopkins to foster an interdisciplinary culture in research that can tackle today’s biggest problems. To date, 54 Bloomberg Distinguished Professors have been appointed across the institution. They are Nobel Prize winners, National Academy members, and highly-cited scholars, and advocates for a better world.
